Position Overview
The department of History of Art, within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks a part-time Lecturer to join our team on a semester-by-semester basis, beginning in Spring 2025.
We are looking for someone who can offer courses in East Asian art and the global history of photography at the undergraduate level.
Performance Objectives
- Teaching one or two classes per semester, according to departmental needs and determined in consultation with the chair.
- Planning and organizing instruction in ways which maximize student learning.
- Meeting scheduled classes and office hours in accordance with university policy.
- Ensuring curriculum implementation and course preparation in accordance with department standards. Preparing assignments and exams.
Evaluating and returning student work in a timely manner to promote learning.
Maintaining accurate records of students’ progress. Submitting final grade roster in accordance with established university deadlines.
Education and Experience Requirements
Master’s Degree in Art History or equivalent field
PhD in Art History or equivalent field
