Senior Web Analyst

About the Role

As a Sr. Web Analyst , you'll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and effectiveness of tracking and data collection across our client's web and mobile applications.

This role focuses on auditing, testing, and troubleshooting issues related to Google Analytics (GA), Google Tag Manager (GTM), and Firebase events.

The analyst will work closely with developers, marketers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all event tracking is correctly implemented and that data integrity is maintained.

Responsibilities :

• Quality Assurance (QA) of analytics implementations :
• Conduct thorough audits of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Firebase setups to ensure correct implementation.
• Test and validate tracking codes, tags, and events across web and mobile platforms.
• Ensure all analytics tools are capturing accurate and complete data for reporting and analysis.
• Develop and maintain QA processes for ongoing testing and validation of analytics implementations.
• Create a proactive process to identify issues or ensure any analytics tracking becomes a structural part of the codebase and is not changed or overwritten
• Debugging and Troubleshooting :
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve issues related to data collection, such as missing or duplicated events, incorrect tag firing, or discrepancies between platforms.
• Use debugging tools (e.g., Google Tag Assistant, GTM Preview Mode, Firebase DebugView) to track down and fix issues.
• Collaborate with development teams to resolve technical challenges and improve the implementation of tracking mechanisms.
• Implementation and Optimization :
• Assist in the setup, configuration, and deployment of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Firebase for new features, pages, and products.
• Work with developers to ensure the correct implementation of tags and events during the development phase.
• Documentation and Reporting :
• Maintain detailed documentation of all QA processes, debugging activities, and tracking implementations.
• Report findings, issues, and progress to stakeholders and maintain alert monitoring
• Generate regular reports on the health and accuracy of analytics data, highlighting any areas of concern or improvement.

About You The essentials :

• 5+ years of working experience with proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Firebase
• Experience with debugging and QA of analytics implementations across web and mobile platforms
• Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, and app development environments (iOS, Android) is a plus.

Not a must, but a plus :

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using debugging tools such as Google Tag Assistant, GTM Preview Mode, and GA4 / Firebase DebugView.
• Attention to detail and a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
