We are seeking mental health clinicians with expertise in maternal mental health care to join our client's team. They will provide expecting parents mental health support that aligns with age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
The Maternal Mental Health Counselors provide virtual consultation / care with the goal of improving maternal-infant outcomes.
Essential Duties Include, but are not limited to :
- Providing direct services including behavioral health assessment, counseling, and case management to a caseload of pregnant / expecting individuals and families within an integrated model of maternal mental health and medical care
- Identifying and treating perinatal anxiety and mood disorders
- Providing crisis intervention services, as needed
- Working from a framework of racial equity, harm reduction, and motivational interviewing when working with clients with co-occurring disorders
- Working collaboratively with community partners to provide referrals and linkages to relevant resources to enhance client functioning and quality of life
- Effectively performing all clinical case documentation within company standards
- Performing other related duties as assigned / required
Qualifications :
- Experience : minimum of (3) years of clinical experience in OB / GYN, Labor and Delivery, Perinatal or Mother / Baby environments
- Education : Bachelor’s Degree is required, Master's Degree preferred
- License (must have one) : Nurse Practitioner (NP), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to prioritize and strong attention to detail;
- knowledge of health technologies and comfort with computers and video modalities; maintains current knowledge base with national best practices;
ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Status : On Call / Per Diem
Hours and Compensation : Hourly rate + patient rate
