Assembler
Status : Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Position Summary :
The Assembler uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts. Conducts quality control checks. Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools.
Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
Core Duties and Responsibilities :
- Follow technical instructions, interpret engineering blueprints and technical terms
- Discern quality of parts and materials used in production
- Inventory parts and tools used in the assembling process
- Follow company procedures and directives
- Must be able to use and operate hand tool
- Test finished products for defects
- Maintain the tools used to create products
- Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace
Education and Experience :
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational education / training is preferred
- Driven and self-motivated individual
- Good communication skills
- Physical fitness and strength to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work overtime as assigned and commit to a flexible work schedule around manufacturing demand
