Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking an Application Developer 2 with design and development experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives.

In this role you will be part of the team established to configure and develop application systems using existing and emerging technology platforms, and consult with business users on requirements gathering, system design, configuration, and implementation.

You'll be working closely with the Delivery Manager, IT development, and Architecture groups while collaborating with several lines of business.

As an Application Developer 2 you will :

  • Assist with development, testing, implement and support of application systems
  • Create and execute test transactions in line with test plans
  • Code and test computer programs of low complexity and scope, working with detailed program specifications and utilizing standard procedures and techniques
  • Assist technical staff with investigation, analysis, and resolution of technical problems related to system functions, programming, and procedures
  • Develop detailed flowcharts to show processing logic for simple programs
  • Document all procedures used in the system

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • At least two years of experience with developing and implementing applications

Preferred Skills / Experience

Minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant experience developing applications in Microservices and ReactJS

Strong proficiency and experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.

Thorough understanding of ReactJS and its core principles.

Experience with popular ReactJS workflows, such as Flux or Redux .

Experience working with RESTful APIs.

Experience with Git .

Experience in building Responsive React application.

Experience with testing React components with Jest (jestjs.io) and anyone of Enzyme, Selenium, Cucumber frameworks

Familiarity with browser testing and debugging

Should be able to translate UX prototypes into workflows based on prescribed component libraries.

Experience with micro-frontends preferred.

Experience in Web Accessibility Development, A11Y testing tools is a plus.

Previous experience in converting legacy to React applications a plus.

Previous experience with security, OWASP principals, addressing security issues in code flagged by software such as BlackDuck, Fortify, SonarCube etc. is a plus.

The role offers a hybrid / flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.

In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).

Pay Range : $64,685.00 - $76,100.00 - $83,710.00 Job postings typically remain open for approximately 20 days of the posting date listed above, however the job posting may be closed earlier should it be determined the position is no longer required due to business need.

Job postings in areas with a high volume of applicants, such as customer service, contact center, and Financial Crimes investigations, remain open for approximately 5 days of the posting listed date.
