Westrax Machinery is a growing construction equipment dealership that is building a team of driven professionals to support our new, used and rental equipment.
We’re currently seeking Technicians for Heavy Construction Equipment / Diesel Engines, this position involves the maintenance diagnosis and repair of heavy construction equipment in the field and in the shop.

Responsibilities & Operational Functions :
- Diagnose and repair heavy equipment
- Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
- Perform routine maintenance work on heavy equipment and company vehicles.
- Adheres to all company, governmental and equipment related safety requirements
- Be familiar with electronics, be able to read schematics and use electronic diagnostic equipment
- Have a positive attitude, works well with others
- Communicate with customers
- Maintain a clean working environment
- Other assigned duties
Qualifications & Skills :
- Must have own tools and toolbox
- Fleet and diesel engine experience desirable, will accept trade school or similar technical experience.
- Familiarity with construction equipment (excavators, wheel loaders, backhoes etc.)
- Experience with hydraulics a plus
- Experience at a previous dealership or rental yard (preferred)
- Welding / Fabrication experience a plus
- Physical requirements include the ability to bend, squat, walk with heavy equipment, climb ladders, and lift 50 pounds
- High School Education Technical college and / or 4-year degree is a plus
- Clean driving record
