Job Description :
Apex Systems is looking to hire a Principal Network Engineer.
95% Remote Job (must be local to the Orlando, FL area or nearby to come on-site 2 times a month for all hands meetings and team buildings.)
The Principal Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.
Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in driving network automation initiatives, currently using Python, Ansible and AWX Tower, streamlining network operations and enhancing efficiency.
The Principal Network Engineer will be seen as a network SME and as senior level engineer provide guidance and support to the rest of the engineers and act as an escalation point for issues.
The Principal Network Engineer collaborates closely with the other IT teams on policy improvements, evaluation of vendors, system implementations, network architecture, as well as other areas of focus.
They will support the Manager of the team in creating and empowering the completion of a Network Roadmap and progress towards maturity of the organization.
This role is based is hybrid with on-site / remote flexibility.
Must haves :
- Senior Level 10+ years of Networking.
- Configuring Firewalls (Palo Alto)
- Diagramming and Documenting
- Wifi Familiarity
- Project experience and want to be that go to person who has worked across different teams to help give direction and figure out a plan on what needs to be done to coordinate etc.
