TransCore-Amtech Systems (AMS), a subsidiary of Roper Technologies, Inc. (NYSE : ROP) is seeking a full-time Sales Support Specialist II to join our team.
This position will work out of our Nashville, TN location.
Job Summary : As a Sales Support Specialist II, you will perform a wide variety of support activities in the sales and order processing function.
You will work with engineering and the customer to determine data formats to be used for the generation of electronic tag data programming files.
You will respond to the customers inquiries by researching status of purchase orders, account status, product pricing and product availability.
You will be responsible for reviewing, accepting, processing, scheduling, and invoicing customer purchase orders in our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, Visibility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Works with the customer and TransCore engineering to generate complex, customer specific, electronic tag data programming files.
- Interfaces with customers verbally and in writing, in a friendly, professional manner to ensure an excellent customer service experience.
- Receives, reviews, and processes all customer purchase orders to include acceptance of order based on completeness and accuracy.
- Works with planning to schedule customer orders in manufacturing and enter data into our ERP system.
- Responds to customer inquiries concerning product availability, pricing, product specifications, and order status.
- Establishes priorities for customer requirements, communicates them to manufacturing and internal / external customers, and follows up to ensure they are completed.
- Generates various reports for distribution to customers, sales, and accounting.
- Participates in the manufacturing production-planning process.
- Collaborates with teammates to update or create business policies and procedures.
- Ensures the timeliness and correctness of customer invoicing.
- Mentors less senior Sales Support Specialists.
Required Skills & Experience :
- Minimum 4 years of related experience.
- Advanced typing / data entry skills.
- MS Office Software
- Must possess exemplary customer service and communication skills.
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must have excellent problem-solving skills.
Desired Skills & Experience :
- Experience with an ERP system is highly desired.
- Experience in account payment processing preferred.
- Experience with electronic data file applications is desired.
Education : High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
