Responsibilities :

• Therapeutic Massage : Provide therapeutic massage therapy to hospice patients to alleviate pain, reduce stress, and promote relaxation and comfort.
• Individualized Care Plans : Collaborate with the interdisciplinary hospice team to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs and preferences.
• Patient and Family Support : Offer emotional support and comfort to patients and their families, helping them cope with physical and emotional challenges during end-of-life care.
• Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of treatments, interventions, and patient interactions in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Education and Advocacy : Educate patients and families about the benefits of massage therapy in palliative care and advocate for its integration into the overall care plan.

Qualifications :

• Certified Massage Therapist with a valid license to practice in the State of Minnesota.
• Specialized training or certification in hospice and palliative care massage is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in providing massage therapy, preferably in a hospice or palliative care setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary hospice team.
• A deep sense of empathy, compassion, and a genuine desire to provide comfort and support to individuals and families facing end-of-life challenges.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and emotionally demanding environment.

Military Experience :

• Army : Physical Therapy Specialist (MOS 68F)
• Navy : Hospital Corpsman (HM)
• Air Force : Physical Medicine Specialist (4J0X2)

• Coast Guard : Health Services Technician (HS)
