Job Summary
KBR is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr Logistics Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join the Next-Generation Air-Refueling System (NGAS) / Future Tankers Program Office.
The ideal candidate will serve as a SME in acquisition management and logistics, providing critical support to the development and implementation of advanced air-refueling systems.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Application of logistics knowledge to perform various tasks related to planning, development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive, affordable, and effective system support strategy
- Provide expertise in conducting technical evaluations of the business rules inherent in AF logistics information systems and in the development of functional requirements
- Review program documentation (e.g. concept, requirements, design, manuals, reports, deficiency / change reports and program schedules) to ensure that established security requirements are adequately addressed and sustained
- Utilize knowledge of USAF supply chain processes, governing policies, manuals, and instructions for implementation for program milestones
- Ability to work independently as well as with other team members
- Perform document review and editing, as requested
- Participate in integrated logistics support management team meetings PMRs and other related meetings
Basic Qualifications
- BS / BA and 15 years of directly related experience.
- Knowledge of creating and maintaining policy to support logistics readiness and SCM for units across the Air Force highly desired.
- In-depth knowledge of DoD acquisition policies, procedures, and regulations
- Proven track record of managing complex acquisition programs
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Active Top Secret
Preferred Qualifications
- 20 years of SCM experience desired
- Experience with air-refueling systems or related aerospace programs
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and other program management tools
- Experience in writing and responding to Federal and DoD Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
- Program Management Level II or III DAWIA certification
- Knowledge of DoD 5000.02 and AFLCMC Policies, Processes, and Procedures
