Human Resources Management Instructor
JOB TITLE : Human Resources Instructor LOCATION : CHESAPEAKE VA 23322 DUTIES : The instructor is expected to provide a three-day instructor instructor led class will take place during the last week of the three-week Navy Security Force Officers (NSFO) Course.
Seven separate convenings are required each year and are planned at least nine months in advance. Curriculum shall include the following : Civilian Personnel Foundations Position Management Recruitment and Retention Performance Management Civilian Employee Operations Collective Bargaining Agreements and Union Labor Special Programs Specific topics shall include : Merit System Principles Prohibited Personnel Practices Classification and Position Descriptions Writing Effective Position Descriptions Staff and Position Management EEO and Supervisor's role Civilian Employee Assistance Program DoN Performance Management Programs Federal Compensation Act Federal Drug Free Workplace Program Performance management Addressing Employee Misconduct Addressing Employee Poor Performance Alternative Dispute Resolution Pay, Time & Attendance, Hours of Work, and Leave Federal Labor Relations Program Collective Bargaining Agreement Federal Employee Workforce Development Federal Drug free Workplace Program Communication EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS : The contractor shall have demonstrated experience instructing Navy military and civilian leaders A Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Communications, Education, Criminal Justice, Human Resources or a related field is required.
