Job Summary
Assists in the execution of research objectives, data collection, and data management. Performs routine procedures, statistical analysis, scientific analysis, and reporting.
Integrates data and data sets, performs descriptive and exploratory analysis, and creates routine reports and analysis reporting tools.
Utilizes statistical software and adheres to all protocols.
Essential Functions
- Applies scientific methodology to conceptualize, propose, and implement appropriate methodologies for statistical analyses.
- Collects, organizes, maintains, reviews, and integrates data and data sets to support analysis and study design. Creates, updates, and facilitates quality control procedures to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Manipulates and derives datasets and cleans data. Creates routine reports, charts, exhibits, and other relevant data summarizations and analysis reporting tools.
- Utilizes statistical software to conduct descriptive, exploratory, and quantitative statistical analysis, including development of sample size calculations and power analyses for proposed studies.
- Support scientific analysis of the data, interpretation and reporting. Revises analysis and results sections of reports, grants, and manuscripts as requested by investigators.
- Adheres to research protocols; ensures compliance with all regulations.
This position requires minimal supervision and work is expected to be done autonomously. Individual will be expected to exercise discretion and independent judgement in significant matters.
Routine problem solving is required, generally guided by policies, procedures and business plans. Decisions outside of standard policies are referred to a higher-level manager.
