Description
Reporting to the General Manager this position is responsible for the timely and accurate job data analysis, production scheduling, lumber procurement planning, and labor needs to successfully manufacture mass timber products.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for creating all schedules and required paperwork related to smooth, efficient operation of the Conway facility.
- Responsible for all reports documenting production results i.e. dashboards, lumber inventory and Epicore, etc.
- Develop plans to efficiently use plant staff and equipment to produce the maximum
- Record operational costs and provide
- Propose staffing requirements based on upcoming work and historical data on
- Monitor wood usage, recommend order points and ensure that the raw material is in house before jobs are released to Communicate lumber need to lumber specialist.
- Coordinate, through effective communication with Operations Manager, operational issues and proactively recommend improvement activities that respect the chain of command in the plant management team structure.
- Evaluate current operational strategies and recommend
- Provide concise information for daily stand up
- Work with cross functional teams to address quality and production questions to ensure product is made to print and meets the quality standards expected.
- Capacity planning reporting, including the capacity matrix.
- Work with Project Management team to communicate plant capacity and production constraints.
- Perform other duties as directed by management.
Qualifications and Experience
- 3-5 years of scheduling experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business or Logistics required or equivalent years of experience.
- Fluent operating a computer with experience in Microsoft Office, Google. Strong Excel skills are required for this position.
- Attention to detail and data management skills are a must.
- Ability to prioritize task in a fast-paced environment is key.
- Safety Sensitive position requiring ability to walk, stairs, repetitive motion, exposure to loud noises and dust.
