As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in overseeing day-to-day accounting functions and ensuring compliance with financial standards.
This position requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in accounting, preferably within nonprofit organizations, and experience in grants management and audit processes.

Focus :
- Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records and reports.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Participate in the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion.
- Manage and monitor organizational grants, including tracking expenditures, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Provide financial analysis and support for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with other departments to support financial needs and initiatives.
Skill Set :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a nonprofit organization.
- Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Proven experience in managing audits and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Extensive experience in grants management, including tracking, reporting, and compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
