As a Financial Planning and Analysis Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for corporate and operations management reporting and annual budgeting support.
This includes monthly reporting, variance analysis, and assisting with preparing presentations for executive leaders and Board of Director meetings.
This role also includes creating and maintaining Microsoft Power BI dashboards. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis.
Primary Responsibilities
- Key finance business partner who supports the annual budgeting process, monthly financial and key metric reporting, and variance analysis.
- Summarize key metrics into easily understood formats that give decision makers a clear understanding of the financial / key metrics impact to the business.
This includes building visuals / reporting in Microsoft Power BI.
- Assist with management reporting for executives, operations, and corporate. Prepares supporting presentations for executives and board of director reporting.
- Collaborates with members of Finance, Accounting, Business Intelligence, Hyperion and Operations teams for process improvements and delivering appropriate analyses, reports and solutions for management reporting.
- Communicates financials to non-financial business partners.
- Provide insight and analysis on complex financial and operational metrics.
- Constantly looking for process efficiencies and improvements to ease reporting and provide our business partners accurate, quality and timely financial reporting.
- Document reporting processes, reporting and define key metrics.
- Special projects as assigned by supervisor, Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, Chief Financial Officer and / or others.
Preferred Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a large organization serving in a finance or accounting role
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business analytics, mathematics, economics, or applicable field
- Strong communication skills are critical as this role will interact with executives and all levels of management in corporate, operations and finance & accounting
- Must demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Ideal candidate is a self-starter, questions the status quo and is always seeking process improvement and efficiencies in reporting
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI
- Desire and willingness to dig into the details. Attention to details is critical as well as the ability to communicate at a summary level for leadership
- Organization of data; Must be able to present financial information to finance and non-financial users in a succinct and easily understandable manner.
This individual must excel at 'telling the story' of the financials
Experience with Oracle's E-Business Suite, Business Intelligence, Hyperion and Alteryx applications a plus
