We see Walmart as the best place to launch your career. As the Director of Early Careers at Walmart, you will work strategically between internal business leaders, workforce planning and HR leadership to ensure we’re mapping the most critical demand needs to the best talent.
You will have a high visibility role managing university relations, vendor relationships, and executive stakeholders, all eager to provide the best experience and welcome future leaders of the company.
What you'll do :
- Work with business leaders and early career stakeholders to ensure the most critical business demand needs are mapped appropriately to early career talent pipelines.
- Act as a trusted consultant to business leaders across the enterprise advising on scalable early career attraction and hiring strategies.
- Develop and deliver against a comprehensive go-to-market early careers strategy to meet the hiring demands of business teams, balancing consistency with needs of specific business areas.
- Oversee the design and execution of early careers programs including the Corporate Intern Program, Summits, Razorbacks in Retail, workshops, and boot camps.
- Manage the budget based on the defined strategy and ensure that resources are allocated effectively to maximize impact and ROI.
- Foster team growth and development by guiding a team of senior managers, coordination leads, and event leads, and providing resources to address challenges raised by the segment and function Program Leads.
- Facilitate career pathing and development within the Early Careers team to ensure that members have the resources and support they need to reach their full potential.
What you'll bring :
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence in a high-stakes environment.
- Deep experience in campus recruiting, campus cycles and the early careers landscape.
- Experience developing a comprehensive early career strategy, rooted in workforce planning and healthy organizational design.
- Experience with the tech and automation needed to execute campus recruiting, with the ability to further build the early careers tech stack.
- Exceptional process and programmatic skills and experience; project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while fostering a positive team culture.
- The ability to interface effectively with and advise senior executives.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related area and 5 years’ experience in human resources, talent acquisition, or related area.
- 7 years’ experience in human resources, talent acquisition, or other area.
- 3 years’ supervisory experience or experience leading cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Master's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field.
- Professional in Human Resources certification.
