Rockland Trust is currently seeking a Loan Officer with an expertise in Security Alarm Lending.

The essential functions of this role include :

  • Responsible for soliciting, underwriting, structuring and managing both new and existing business for the Security Alarm Lending Division.
  • Develops a network of referral sources and outsource partners to lead the new business effort, calling on prospects, centers of influence and other contacts as appropriate.
  • Prepares loan packages for loan approval, including submission for and presenting to, Senior Loan Approval Committee.
  • Actively manages a portfolio of Security Alarm loans and is the full relationship manager for those clients. The incumbent is responsible for growing the assigned portfolio, cross-selling bank products and nurturing customer relationships.
  • Prepares credit analysis in accordance with credit policy for both new and existing relationships with special emphasis on credit policy exception, appropriate loan ratings and LPSS accuracy.
  • Participates in industry events and educational programs to help market the Rockland Trust brand.
  • Manages the loan closing process and onboarding of new customers in conjunction with outside counsel and colleagues within Credit & Loan Operations.
  • Works with Lending Center & Regional Managers on various projects around new business and performs other duties as directed.

Required Skills :

  • The candidate shall possess the ability to make lending recommendations, which are based on their analysis of the business' financial condition, cash flow, capacity, collateral and its ability to repay.
  • Ability to interview loan applicants to develop information concerning their business, needs, abilities and earning to determine whether the loan would be an acceptable risk to the Bank.
  • The candidate is trained in managing a portfolio of Security Alarm loans and understands all of the concepts unique to these exposures.
  • Ability to work as a key team member to help grow the Security Alarm Division at Rockland.

Required Experience :

  • Formal Credit Training
  • 5+ Years of prior industry experience at a Bank.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent experience.
