Financial Analyst Costing
Summary : The Financial Analyst will be instrumental in the aggregation, analysis, and interpretation of financial data to boost organizational efficiency and profitability.
This role involves enhancing data accuracy and contributing to financial decision-making, particularly focusing on sales data and metrics.
Experience with Costing for a manufacturing / production environment is essential (parts, materials, products, goods, etc).
Essential Functions :
- Collaborate closely with the finance leadership to deliver analytical support to senior management, aiding strategic decisions through detailed sales analytics and financial modeling.
- Engage in the creation and ongoing refinement of internal reports and presentations to track and analyze sales performance metrics across various intervals.
- Provide critical financial insights to key stakeholders, aiding in executive decision-making processes.
- Play a vital role in the forecasting processes, including annual and multi-year projections, by analyzing key assumptions and conducting variance analyses to identify major revenue factors influencing the profit and loss statement.
- Contribute to the enhancement of global sales strategies through the development and refinement of key sales Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Undertake rigorous analysis of budgets and forecasts, delve into variances, and evaluate trends, risks, and opportunities in sales data.
- Support global sales initiatives by ensuring the accuracy of sales reporting and fostering best practices across different regions and business units.
- Participate in a variety of ad hoc projects and support the implementation of new financial and IT systems to optimize reporting processes.
Non-Essential Functions :
- Develop metrics and tools to monitor and improve sales effectiveness.
- Assist in quarterly and periodic budgeting exercises by maintaining and enhancing budget tools to better understand sales dynamics.
- Propose and implement enhancements to streamline sales reporting processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Support cross-functional teams in executing business initiatives and analyze financial aspects of sales and gross profit metrics.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within a global organization.
- Experience with Costing for a manufacturing / production environment is essential (parts, materials, products, goods, etc).
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel. Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
- Solid foundation in data management and experience handling extensive datasets.
- Comprehensive understanding of financial reporting standards and principles.
- Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills, with a keen eye for detail.
