Minimum Qualifications Open Competitive : A bachelor's or higher-level degree including or supplemented by 15 semester credit hours in computer science.
A bachelor's or higher-level degree in any field and one year of experience in information technology; or 60 semester credit hours including or supplemented by 15 semester credit hours in computer science and one year of professional experience in information technology.
Two years of professional experience in information technology.

Duties Description Under the direction of the Associate Director Training 2 for CTO’s Innovation and Engineering Bureau in the User Experience section, the IT Specialist 2 (SG-18), PEF, will provide essential strategic messaging and support to the entire Human-Centered Design (HCD) team by coordinating and articulating changes as they are proposed on the various projects.
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Information Technology Specialist 2 to join our team. This IT Specialist will manage day-to-day administrative tasks, provide support to leadership to multiple teams, and ensure the efficient operation of the organization.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable working independently and is able to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously.

- Working with a cross-matrix team of researchers, designers, and developers on daily projects.
- IT Specialist support, including scheduling meetings, organizing travel, and handling emails.
- Planning and conducting user research, explaining results to both internal and external partners.
- Review correspondence including incoming questions from customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Assist and maintain internal tracking system and update databases, or online notebooks.
- Developing user models and scenarios, storyboards, sitemaps, and screen flows.
- Process and track reports, client requests, including creating and iterating on prototypes.
- Create and update written documents, procedures, and any stakeholder presentation decks.
- Conducting usability testing and analyzing user feedback and activity to generate improvements.
- Iterating to improve the client experience (CX) and assisting with content development.
- Assist with special projects and events as needed by the team.
