Senior Director- Proposal Strategy

Amplity Health is seeking a Senior Director Proposal Strategy to oversee the production of time-sensitive RFPs / RFIs and proactive proposals.

This position will lead and coordinate the work of cross-functional pursuit teams to ensure that proposal development presents a valuable opportunity to potential clients while ensuring development remains on track and on time.

  • Specific duties include managing Proposal COE resources and personnel in the development of compelling and compliant responses;
  • fully understanding and following RFP / RFI requirements; developing content plans and project schedules for finalist pitch decks;

coordinating the writing,formatting, and delivery of proposal documents, and supporting presenters with honing key talking points to bring home a win.

The successful candidate will be confident and comfortable managing relationships at all levels. Having a continuous improvement mindset and driving change to continuously refine COE processes is also critical for Amplity to deliver top-notch proposals and other sales cycle documents.

You should have a solid understanding of proposal management best practices to educate, inform, and influence the wider team.

The ideal candidate will need to be able to lead the sales team and SMEs to the desired result without direct authority and is able to generate relevant and impactful content to win new business.

This is an internal-facing, full-time remote position with minimal travel.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Duties include supporting proposal-related sales operations activities such as :

  • Leading bid / no bid, kickoff, status review, and strategy calls.
  • Assigning and tracking work delegated to direct reports and / or subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Directly drafting proposal content and responses in Word, Excel, or PowerPoint as needed.
  • Proofreading copy and enhancing page layouts of content contributors, ensuring alignment to the agreed upon strategy and story flow
  • Overseeing proactive proposal development as needed.
  • Overseeing the maintenance of the Amplity proposal library, leveragingexisting approved content and automation whereappropriate.
  • Developing new content across business lines in collaboration with SMEs and management.
  • Maintaining CRM opportunity records.
  • Manage larger strategic bids and / or assign work as appropriate.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college required in English, Communications or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in proposal design / strategy required and in a B2B environment highly preferred.
  • Experience in developing comprehensive business proposals tailored to client needs and organizational goals.
  • Experience managing others
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred
  • Strong MS Office Suite Skills (Word / Excel / PowerPoint).
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills are highly desired.
  • Experience with proposal response software such as Qvidian, Loopio, etc., a plus
  • Exceptional attention to detail with an ability to maintain consistent high-quality work product across all team deliverables.
  • Highly collaborative with colleagues at all levels across the organization
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and get work done through others.
  • Exceptional presentation and written communication skills.
