Supervisor, Rehabilitation Services
Department :
University Hospital Inpatient Rehabilitation Administration
Serves as the supervisor for a rehabilitation service team and / or program(s). Supervisor responsibilities include, but not limited to, coordination of staff scheduling for appropriate productivity, competency development and implementation, program / project management, annual evaluation of contingent staff on rehab service line team, and business development / marketing.
Consults on major initiatives that may include multiple departments, service lines, and various administrative interfaces regarding the integration of rehab service programs and solutions.
Responsible for rehab service programs / projects involving scope and impact to the organization; facilitates strategic projects involved in evaluating and researching new and existing programs, products, procedures and / or workflow needs associated with a designated rehab service area and / or profession.
Responsible for providing rehabilitation services as part of a team. Clinical practice activities include, but are not limited to, patient / family orientation / education, observations, treatment procedures, training, interventions, educational sessions and / or activity counseling.
Responsible for documentation of patient care and planned progression.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree and / or licensure in any of the following : recreation therapy and occupational therapy. 3 years of relevant experience is required, 4-8 is preferred.
Current State of Ohio License or Certification is required and must reflect one of the disciplines supervised by this position.
Maintains professional licensure or certification; demonstrates commitment to continuing education; meets mandatory education and health requirements;
demonstrates competence in technical, interpersonal, and cognitive skills required to meet essential job functions.
Experience and background must reflect one of the disciplines supervised by this position.
