Product Line Manager

onsemi is seeking a dynamic and experienced Strategic Program Lead to oversee and drive the execution of our EV Traction programs with key OEMs in North America.

This pivotal role will involve leading cross-functional teams, managing key customer relationships, and ensuring the successful development and delivery of innovative traction power solutions for the electric vehicle (EV) market.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of power electronics, especially in traction inverters, and a proven track record in managing complex programs from conception to market launch.

• Program Leadership : Lead the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of EV traction programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer requirements, and market trends.
• Cross-Functional Team Management : Coordinate and collaborate with product management, engineering, sales, marketing, and operations teams to deliver high-quality traction power solutions.
• Customer Engagement : Serve as the primary point of contact for key EV OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, managing relationships and driving customer satisfaction through regular updates, issue resolution, and proactive engagement.
• Product Development : Oversee the development lifecycle of traction inverters, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Market Analysis : Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform product strategy and innovation.
• Financial Management : Manage program budgets, forecasts, and P&L responsibilities, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
• Risk Management : Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure program success.
• Stakeholder Communication : Present program status, challenges, and opportunities to senior leadership and key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with company goals.
• Continuous Improvement : Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program efficiency, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Education : Master’s or PhD in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering (EE) or a related field preferred; MBA or equivalent business experience is a plus.
• Experience : Minimum of 10 years of experience in the power electronics industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing EV traction or related programs.
• Technical Expertise : Deep understanding of traction power systems, including SiC MOSFETs, Si IGBTs, and power modules.

Experience with Automotive Qualification (AECQ-101, AQG324) standards and traction inverters is highly desirable.
