Job Description :
As a Patient Experience Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that every patient interaction is characterized by empathy, responsiveness, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
Your primary focus will be to establish positive relationships with patients, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and needs effectively, and leaving a lasting, positive impression.
Key Responsibilities :
- Patient Interaction : Interact with patients through various communication channels, including phone, email, and virtual, and provide them with a friendly, empathetic, and professional experience.
- Scheduling and Coordination : Manage patient appointments, coordinate scheduling, and ensure seamless communication between patients and our healthcare team.
- Complaint Resolution : Act as a point of contact for patients with concerns or complaints, addressing their issues promptly, and working to find satisfactory solutions.
- Educational Support : Provide patients with information regarding their equipment.
- Data Entry : Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including contact information and insurance details.
- Compliance : Ensure compliance with all privacy and healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA.
- Team Collaboration : Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to guarantee a smooth patient journey.
Requirements :
- Previous customer service experience, particularly in durable medical equipment or medical setting, is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Empathy and patience in dealing with patients and their concerns.
- Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and tact.
- Detail-oriented and organized, problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, basic understanding of healthcare processes and insurance is a plus.
- Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) software and electronic health records (EHR) systems is beneficial.
- Medical billing experience is a plus but not required.
