Artic Consulting has an immediate opening for a Sr. Consultant, Technical Project Manager to join our team. This is a full-time, direct-hire, remote / work-from-home position.
Description and Responsibilities The mission of the Senior Consultant, Business Management Services is to assist our clients with multiple strategic and logistical activities, as well as manage projects within planned schedule and budget in tandem with successfully managing stakeholder expectations.
This is an opportunity to work on an enterprise-level Lead flow engine across a variety of teams to make immediate impact within a cutting-edge technology organization.
Responsibilities Manage large-sized projects and / or multiple medium-sized projects per year and possible broader portfolio.
Mentor Associate and Mid-Level Project Managers each year Represent Artic Consulting at local industry-related networking events.
Work with Business Development to bring in new clients / projects per year. Support semester planning, drive coordination between Business Management Partners Update and ensure accurate Azure DevOps Documentation Communicate project status updates to appropriate stakeholders.
Build a monthly project status deck. Coordinate and conduct project planning and forecasting with Associate and Mid-Level Technical Project Managers Ensure projects are progressing on time and complying with monthly project cycles.
Conduct impact assessment analysis for projects. Conduct weekly Leadership team update meeting and daily status emails and detailed meeting notes.
Ensure upstream dependencies are delivering as expected and in a timely manner. Articulate to all types of stakeholders the business goals and strategy as well as a project’s overall status, risks, and issues faced.
Establish priorities and gain commitments to the scheduled delivery with both internal and external resources. Communicate new ideas to contribute to success for stakeholder.
Required Qualifications Superb organizational skills including keeping track of lots of details, tasks, and action items.
Excellent understanding of project methodologies such as Agile / Scrum, PMP / Waterfall and can plan out processes and stand-up new projects including mobilizing a team from zero.
Ability to resolve all issues with internal and external clients involved in the projects then drive solutions. Ability to create complex Business Requirements Documentation Expertise with Microsoft’s Azure DevOps and create complex queries for managing bugs / work items and performing cleanup of the tracking tool.
One must be able to start from scratch to set up an instance of Azure DevOps for a team to use. Ability to learn about the business landscape through interviews with key stakeholders, where detailed notes are captured and collected to allow others to benefit from the information.
Can come up with all the processes to do Scrum / Agile with the team including training others to manage all meetings / ceremonies.
Proactively seek ways to increase the level of responsibility and take ownership of new areas of responsibility. Ability to organize and conduct code review and debugging.
Ability to manage and raise issues and challenges appropriately. Self-motivated and self-disciplined; ability to work alone at a client site to complete tasks in a timely manner without significant day-to-day management oversight.
Enjoy working in a fast paced, high-output, time sensitive environment. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Communications, or a technical field.
Demonstrate experience managing stakeholders’ expectations and effectively mitigating dissatisfied stakeholders. Ability to create SQL Queries.
5+ years of experience in Technical Project Management Collaborative, with the ability to influence team members, development teams, and other business groups, often without direct management authority.
Excellent leadership skills that cultivate passion, creativity, and a sense of adventure. Prior consulting experience. Ability to travel as necessary.
