ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Construction Project Manager specializing in AI Infrastructure, you will command the construction and development of high-stakes facilities that underpin our cutting-edge AI technologies.

Reporting directly to the Head of AI Data Centers, you will be ruthless in your oversight of every facet of construction from initial planning to final delivery.

You will ensure projects are executed with military precision : on time, within budget, and exceeding the highest quality standards.

This role demands a relentless drive for excellence and an uncompromising commitment to delivering world-class results.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Execution :

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget for AI infrastructure construction projects.
  • Coordinate and oversee all phases of construction, from site preparation and design to final build and handover.

Stakeholder Management :

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, including internal teams, contractors, architects, engineers, and regulatory authorities.
  • Communicate project status, updates, and issues to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and addressing any concerns or feedback.

Team Leadership and Coordination :

  • Lead and supervise project teams, including construction workers, subcontractors, and consultants, ensuring effective collaboration and performance.
  • Manage resources and schedules, ensuring that work is completed according to project specifications and deadlines.

Budget and Cost Management :

  • Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimates, financial forecasts, and expenditures.
  • Monitor and control project costs, addressing any deviations from the budget and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Quality Assurance and Compliance :

  • Ensure that all construction activities adhere to quality standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of workmanship and safety.

Risk Management :

  • Identify and assess potential risks and issues related to construction projects, developing and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Address any challenges or problems that arise during construction, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and outcomes.

Documentation and Reporting :

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, permits, progress reports, and change orders.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and milestones.

Safety and Environmental Management :

  • Ensure that all construction activities comply with safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
  • Promote a culture of safety on-site, conducting regular safety inspections and addressing any hazards or risks.

Continuous Improvement :

  • Gather feedback and lessons learned from each project to improve future construction processes and practices.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in managing construction projects related to data centers, high-performance computing facilities, or similar environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
  • Proactive and solution-focused, with the ability to address and resolve complex challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
