Job Summary :
- Implementing all DMA 5(2) monitoring and enforcement infrastructure for Astro, with an eye towards building a long-term foundational data governance solution
- Implementing data regionalization (DRZ) infrastructure to support critical Google Workspace and Cloud enterprise product requirements, unlocking new business opportunities for those FAs
- Building privacy-first infrastructure into one of Googles largest production systems, spanning indexing and query-time serving
Job Responsibilities :
- Design and build infrastructure and scalable systems to address privacy, security, and user trust requirements for Indexing & Serving infrastructure that powers search for many Google products such as Web Search, Cloud Vertex Al, Shopping, YouTube, Photos, Maps, Drive, and more.
- Investigate potential privacy & security vulnerabilities and propose / implement solutions.
- Because part of the infrastructure has legacy components and was not designed with privacy & security in mind in the very beginning, we spend some time removing technical debt, addressing unexpected privacy incidents, and migrating the current code base and clientele onto new privacy & security technologies.
- We provide design review feedback to a team with 100+ software engineers, especially to help the designs to be privacy-first, policy compliant, and process user data responsibly.
