Join Our Team as a Therapist Intern!

New Directions Mental Health is excited to welcome Therapist Interns to our growing family! This is your chance to make a real impact by treating patients in a supportive clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Therapist Intern, you will work under the guidance of a supervisor to :

• Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new patients and families.
• Provide individual and family therapy tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
• Complete billing, documentation, individualized treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms within specified time frames.
• Develop crisis plans, safety plans, relapse prevention plans, and wellness plans to support stable functioning.
• Create comprehensive discharge plans.
• Adhere to all current federal and state laws, regulatory requirements, and NDMH policies and procedures.
• Participate in case consultations and agency meetings.
• Complete all mandatory training.
