Manufacturing-Quality Engineer (onsite), Indianapolis, IN
The Manufacturing-Quality Engineer hired for our leading Aviation & Seaport infrastructure solutions client will have an amazing opportunity to create new product lines and maintain legacy processes.
Our client designs and manufactures high-quality turnkey solutions that make airports and seaports worldwide efficient and environmentally friendly.
The Manufacturing-Quality Engineer is involved in all product lifecycle stages, and is a key role for process and product validation before product launch.
Responsibilities for this career enabling role include :
- As the subject matter expert in quality, you will work cross-functionally with multiple company business organizations and suppliers to solve quality problems.
- Design tooling for parts production and create engineering drawings for tooling / fixtures.
- Create and maintain work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Develop and maintain sequence of operations to produce parts in conformance with product drawings, and create / maintain work SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
- Create quality control documents (Inspection Masters, Control Plans, PFMEAs, Process Flow etc.), and train operators on quality requirements and manufacturing processes.
- Responsible for managing corrective action and preventive action investigations, and operation of multiple manufacturing processes and product lines.
Skills, Experience and Preferred Education
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Knowledge of good manufacturing practices and quality control.
- Proficient with 3D modeling software and drawing creation.
