Job Description : CNC Operator
Position Overview
The CNC Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining computer numerical controlled (CNC) machines in a manufacturing setting.
This role requires technical knowledge in engineering, manufacturing, and CNC machines. The ideal candidate will have experience in programming and operating CNC machines, specifically lathes and lathe mills.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines according to instructions and specifications
- Load raw material into machines and monitor production process
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues that may arise during production
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accuracy and quality of finished products
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specifications
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to optimize production processes
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in CNC machining preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating CNC machines, specifically lathes and lathe mills
- Strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing principles
- Proficiency in programming and operating CNC machines
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
