Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Epic Integration Consultant to join our healthcare technology team. The consultant will play a pivotal role in implementing, integrating, and optimizing Epic systems with various healthcare platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare workflows, system interoperability, and integration technologies to ensure seamless communication between Epic and other systems.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and support the integration of Epic applications with external systems, ensuring data flows seamlessly across different platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, healthcare providers, and IT staff to understand workflows, requirements, and business objectives.
  • Design, develop, and implement HL7, FHIR, and other data exchange formats to integrate Epic with third-party applications, including lab systems, imaging systems, and billing software.
  • Must Have experience in CDS HOOKS
  • Work with Epic's Bridges module and other relevant Epic tools to manage interfaces and ensure smooth system integration.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues related to system integration, interfaces, and data interoperability.
  • Perform testing and validation of integration processes, ensuring accurate data exchange and compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, etc.).
  • Collaborate with technical teams to provide post-integration support and ongoing system enhancements.
  • Train internal teams and end users on integration functionalities and provide ongoing support.
  • Stay up-to-date with Epic's new releases, upgrades, and integration capabilities.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience working with Epic systems, particularly with Epic integration projects.
  • Certification in Epic Bridges or other relevant Epic modules is preferred.
  • Proficiency in HL7, FHIR, and other healthcare interoperability standards.
  • Strong experience with APIs, web services, and interface engines (e.g., Mirth, Cloverleaf).
  • Familiarity with healthcare workflows and experience integrating systems like EHRs, lab systems, PACS, and financial software.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, data security, and privacy (e.g., HIPAA compliance).

Preferred Skills :

  • Experience with cloud-based healthcare integrations and environments.
  • Knowledge of other healthcare integration platforms and standards (e.g., DICOM, X12).

Ability to manage multiple integration projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines
