Responsibilities Nurse Educator (RN)- Subacute Full-time, Day Shift, Exempt position located at Rehabilitation Hospital in Corona, CA The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center® began in , with the founding of Corona Community Hospital.
Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center.
The merged hospitals are now a -bed community hospital network comprised of a -bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus.
It is certified by The Joint Commission, employs more than 1, trained healthcare workers and has a medical staff of approximately physicians representing more than 40 specialties.
Reports directly to the Acute Rehabilitation and Sub-Acute Director of Nursing, the Nurse Educator is responsible for developing and providing a comprehensive education program based upon current state and federal regulations for all levels of staff in Acute Rehabilitation and Sub-Acute Unit.
Included in this responsibility is the oversight and coordination of C RMC 's commitment that its staff members demonstrate unparalleled competency and service to its customers.
Supports and maintains regulatory requirements for staff competency assessment. Assesses clinical performance in relation to established performance standards;
collaborates with clinical management in identifying learning needs of staff; assesses learning needs of orientees and trainees in relation to their position performance standards.
Plans orientation program to meet individual learning needs; develops objectives for each instructional program. Provides a competency-based orientation program for all categories of clinical service personnel.
C onducts well planned organized, relevant, and clinically oriented programs in response to needs. Coordinates continuing education workshops.

Current BLS (CPR) required through the American Heart Association. DSD certificate. The Nurse Educator must have a minimum of twenty-four hours of continuing education courses in planning, implementing and evaluation educational programs in nursing within six months of employment.
These must either be courses approved by the Board of Registered Nursing or courses administered by an accredited educational institution.
