Job Summary
As a part of the Exploration, Drilling and Completions Team, the IT Advisor works directly with stakeholders on a variety of application and data related projects.
The IT Advisor will play a key role in system upgrades, data integration, and process improvement initiatives. This role will also have a significant focus on user support and data quality control for Peloton WellView and SiteView.
Performs a wide variety of tasks; contributes to process improvements. Leads the work of small project teams; may formally train less experienced team members.
Comprehensive knowledge of fundamental theories, principles, and practices in the area of information technology. Identifies possible solutions for problems / issues of diverse scope.
Works well under general supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage CLR’s WellView, SiteView and WLR Auditing Platforms ensures health of WellView and SiteView’s, daily batch jobs (field rig data) and field availability to access the servers.
WLR Auditing provides a QC method to check data before upload.
- Support the implementation of software, new features and system upgrades.
- Partner with business users to define requirements and make recommendations on how to enhance, refine or re-engineer business processes leveraging technology.
- License Management Performs weekly monitoring of license usage.
- Primary Support of WellView and SiteView Provides 24 / 7 support for WellView issues too complex for Tier 1 (i.e. Help Desk) Support
- Perform Root-cause analysis and resolve technical issues within the Peloton Platform
- Document Standards and Procedures Maintain documentation on standards and procedures for use by both support resources and end users.
- Training Facilitate training on WellView, SiteView and WLR Auditing platforms.
- Assist with data loading and integration of acquired assets.
- Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity Support CLR’s business continuity through the design and support of appropriate disaster recovery plans
- Identify and define process and technology improvement opportunities.

Required Qualifications
- At least ten (10) years of recent related experience working in a systems analyst, business analyst or similar role.
- Strong SQL Server skills (writing queries, creating views, stored procedures and event triggers)
- Experience supporting business end users.
- Experience working with technical and non-technical resources to ensure successful project outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related field from an accredited College or University
- Preferred multiple years of experience with business solutions common in the Oil and Gas Industry, such as : Peloton Wellview, SiteView, Procount / eVIN / Carte, Aries, OFM, MyQuorum or FlowCal
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
- Occasional lifting, up to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
