The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for :
- Month end closing along with G / L accounting, reconciliation, and
- Maintaining fixed asset records and calculating and booking depreciation.
- Supporting annual audit, tax filings, Review of Financials, and Overhead Audit.
- Overall responsibility for AP, AR, Payroll, and utilization reports
- Budget preparation support
- Assist with State licensure, registrations, and filings.
- Preparation of Use / Sales Tax filings
- Producing and updating accounting-related reports
- Contributing to the development of company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Ad hoc projects and reports
Required Qualifications :
- BBA with Accounting major
- 5+ years of experience in similar role
- Knowledge of accounting regulations and practices (cash and accrual methods), GAAP, and Federal and State tax returns and reporting for S Corporation
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 31
- Experience with Project Cost Accounting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills

- Experience with Deltek Vantage Point
- Experience with Microsoft Project
- Professional services industry experience (particularly A / E)
