LAB Research Chemist/Physicist/Engineer II

Volt is immediately hiring a Lab Chemist / Physicist / Engineer II in Maplewood with a well-known industry leader. Must be able to run coverage day / afternoon / or midnight shift, as needed (roughly 3-5 days per month)

This is a first shift position.

As a Lab Chemist you will :

• Prepare routine and novel samples for analysis via SEM and AFM analysis using ultramicrotomy, ion milling, and other conventional techniques.
• Operate SEM and AFM and collecting data
• Complete basic image processing and data analysis.
• Organize generated data into communicable reports.
• Support product development engineers through physical property and optical testing / characterization, sample prep.

Estimated Duration 24 + months.

The ideal candidate will have :

• Bachelor’s degree in (Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or related discipline)
• 2 years experience working in optical metrology lab

Preferred Skills :

Pay Rate : $28.00-29.00 per hour

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
