IT Service Manager

We are looking for a IT Systems Specialist to partner with our NY Technical Lead for delivery.

In This Role, You Will :

1. Standard / Structured approach to new hosting requests (Onboarding Portal and workflow designed to produce estimates, finance approvals, risk assessments, and auditable documentation of request)

2. Collaborative cloud technical design / specification alignment with agency client team Tech Lead / Architect on application(s)

3. Cost Estimating (comprehensive including AWS Cloud costs, one-time implementation effort, ongoing support effort, inclusion and costing of CISO required environment tools like Wiz, SentinelOne, etc.)

4. Collaborative Risk Assessment completion working with agency project team (using COEx Standard Risk Assessment approach and aligned with S-SDLC standards and CISO policies)

a. Establishes risk associated with data processed / persisted by application (categorization confidentiality, PII, etc..

source and destination region of globe, applicable data privacy law, etc...)

b. Establishes risk associated with Master Service Agreement (MSA), Contract, SOW (re : uptime, service Level agreement requirements, back-up, and recovery requirements)

c. Establishes risk associated with impact to end client and agency business of application availability, corruption, loss, or theft)

d. Results of a - c- above inform Risk Ranking (Low, Moderate, High, Critical) for inclusion in Application Inventory and operations requirements and for Audit requirements.

e. Risk Assessment Approval from agency office CFO before proceeding.

5. Implementation of Standard AWS cloud configurations

a. aligned with CISO policy,

b. implemented in required CISO environments (like the Control Tower) Detroit manages complexity of implementing in IPG Control Tower instead of IPG Control Tower needing to teach the world.

Detroit ensures CISO mandated tooling is implemented consistently and correctly)

c. standard CloudFormation libraries / cloud configurations applied everywhere applicable.

d. Implementation of security, back-ups, disaster recovery configuration, operational procedures, and collection of audit control evidence as required according to risk assessment and CISO / Audit policy.

e. Experienced Service Management (SM) oriented team able to operate at any level required by client engagement (whether client requires highly structured or flexibility think BASF versus BAT)

f. Incident Management (this is critical in the event an incident occurs. Detroit possesses an exceptionally strong / structured incident management response capability)

g. Very experienced and adaptable team that can answer "Yes, and" to varying support models.

What We Are Looking For :

1. AWS Expertise :

• In-depth knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, CloudFormation, and IAM.
• Experience with AWS management tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Auto Scaling, and AWS CLI).
• Proficiency in implementing and managing secure, highly available, and scalable environments in AWS.
• Understanding of AWS network architecture including VPCs, subnets, and security groups.
• Ability to analyze a proposed architecture and use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate costs.

2. Azure Expertise :

• In-depth knowledge of Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL Database, Virtual Network, Azure Functions, Azure Resource Manager, and Azure Active Directory.
• Experience with Azure management tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Azure Autoscale, and Azure CLI).
• Proficiency in implementing and managing secure, highly available, and scalable environments in Azure.
• Understanding of Azure network architecture including Virtual Networks, subnets, and network security groups.
• Ability to analyze a proposed architecture and use the Azure Pricing Calculator to estimate costs.

3. Linux Administration :

• Strong command-line skills and scripting in bash or other shell languages.
• Experience with Linux servers in virtualized environments.
• Familiarity with the fundamentals of Linux scripting languages.

4. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) :

• Experience with automation and configuration management tools like Sceptre, AWS CDK.
• Knowledge of writing and maintaining scripts for automation processes. (python, yaml, javascript, xml)

5. Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI / CD) :

• Proficiency in setting up and maintaining CI / CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins.
• Understanding of code deployment processes and strategies for different environments.

6. Containerization and Orchestration :

• Experience with Docker, including creating Dockerfiles and managing containers.
• Knowledge of orchestration tools like Amazon ECS for managing containerized applications.

7. Monitoring and Logging :

• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as AWS CloudWatch.
• Experience with logging and log analysis tools like ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) or AWS CloudTrail.

8. Networking and Security :

• Understanding of network protocols, services, and security best practices.
• Experience with firewall and intrusion detection systems.
