The Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Clinical Nurse Specialists role is to coordinate the clinical care of patients undergoing autologous or allogeneic bone marrow or stem cell transplantation.
The BMT CNS will provide leadership and expert knowledge across the clinical environment to identify and support practice improvements.
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will be crucial in providing advanced nursing care, education and leading quality improvement initiatives.
The role works across the spectrum of health care interacting with primary, secondary and tertiary environments. The Clinical Nurse Specialist works within the multi-disciplinary team in both the inpatient and outpatient environments with the aim of improving patient outcomes with a focus on equitable access and care.

The Wellington Blood & Cancer Centre (WB&CC) incorporates the specialties of Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology and Clinical Haematology into an integrated regional and supra-regional cancer service for both inpatients and outpatients.
Services provided in the WBCC include specialist consultation and treatment for referred Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology and Haematology patients either in Wellington or outreach clinics.
The WBCC team is a hardworking, friendly and supportive team who are passionate about providing a high level of care to patients accessing oncology, haematology and radiation services.

Skills & Experience :
- NZ Nurse’s Registration
- Minimum 5 years nursing experience
- Expert knowledge in Haematology nursing
- Proven Leadership skills
- Post graduate nursing qualification or working towards this
