Summary :
The Clinical Research Systems Administrator assists in streamlining clinical trial operations by supporting the various clinical research systems / applications.
This individual must have comprehensive knowledge of research site-based clinical operations, good clinical practice, and an understanding of research billing guidelines.
The Administrator performs day to day administration and oversight of the various system operations to include but not limited to CTMS, eRegulatory, EMR, Payment Services and analytical reporting.
Responsibilities :
- Reviews and understands pertinent clinical trial documents including, but not limited to : the study protocol, investigator’s brochure, clinical trial agreement to include budget, laboratory manual and Medicare Coverage Analysis guidelines.
- Maintains security maintenance of all applications relevant for the institutional research department.
- Reports data analytics which include department metrics and reports to include use of YRMC data analytic software.
- Development of study participant’s payment parameters for a clinical trial in the patient reimbursement system.
- Oversees CTMS administration to ensure compliance in the creation of study calendars and administrative costs that adheres to the clinical trial documents.
- Oversees the study interfaces to include study administrative, study calendar and billing interface between the CTMS and the electronic health record (EHR).
- Understands research regulatory guidelines and requirements governing clinical research (e.g., Good Clinical Practice, HIPAA).
- Oversees the study interfaces to include study administrative, study calendar and billing interface between the CTMS and the electronic health record (EHR) and EMR administration Validates the EMR development and standardizes templates, develops a set of procedures orders (imaging, labs, exams, etc.
that each research participant will complete during the course of the study.
- Collaborates effectively with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurses, laboratory staff, IT and other research personnel.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirement :
BACHELOR'S DEGREE
Other information :
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., biology, psychology, public health, nursing, data analytics / informatics, business required.
- Minimum of 2 years of prior experience in clinical research. At least one year of oncology experience preferred.
- Prior project management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
