Medical Assistant
Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant for one of its clients in Texas.
This is a 3-month contract with a possible extension with competitive pay and benefits.
Location Austin, Texas (78731)
Length of assignment 3 months (With a possible extension)
Pay range - $20 - $23 per hour.
Shift Monday Friday - 8 am to 5 pm
Job Duties
- Medical records requests
- Calling and scheduling Patients
- Provide Medication adherence support and education as needed.
- Datamining
- Back Office Heavy
Requirements
- Required Education : High school / GED or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Current Nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification
- Current BLS certification for healthcare providers
- Basic computer literacy required, with intermediate Excel skills
- Proven good communication and customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to react calmly and effectively in emergencies required
- This position requires Tuberculosis screening as well as proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis through lab confirmation of immunity, documented evidence of vaccination, or a doctor's diagnosis of disease.
