The Front of House Management team at The Depot is responsible for overseeing the delivery of the highest level of customer service while ensuring that all guests leave satisfied with the service and food / beverage quality provided by the staff of the restaurant.
Restaurant managers oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, while ensuring company standards and procedures are being upheld and followed.
The restaurant manager will need to continually motivate, educate, and support the staff’s effort in delivering excellent customer service.
The restaurant manager will in turn be the liaison between the restaurant employees and the restaurant’s General Manager and Owner(s).
The manager must help The Depot meet revenue goals through managing volume of the restaurant and they must help control costs of operations through labor management and purchasing procedures.
A front of house manager will assume various other responsibilities as well such as these below :
Responsibilities
- Coordinating daily restaurant operations from opening the restaurant, to overseeing service, and closing the restaurant each night.
- Ensuring the consistent delivery of superior food and beverage service
- Overseeing daily cash reconciliation and control of minor expenses
- Creating schedules for the staff each week
- Maintaining and fostering strong working relationships with both Front of House and Back of House staff.
- Anticipate and respond to customers’ needs / complaints
- Supervise the daily responsibilities of all Front of House staff
- Hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and correcting front of house employees.
- Continue the growth of The Depot through ideas and implementation of new, exciting, & efficient standard operating procedures.
- Manage restaurant supplies and minimize waste in all departments
- Promote a positive work environment
Requirements
- At least 1-4 years of managerial experience within a restaurant
- Proven leadership skills, validated through reference checks
- Proven customer service experience
- Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills
- Acute financial management skills
- Proficient computer skills and competency in programs such as Google and the Microsoft suite
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary ranging from $40,000 - $45,000 depending on experience
