Position Summary :
The Director of Risk Management manages and directs all hospital Risk Management and patient safety activities in accordance with Florida Statutes, and the hospital’s Safety Management Program.
Responsible for managing claims against the facility, interfacing with defense legal counsel, administering the risk management and safety management programs on a day-to-day basis, managing and analyzing risk and safety data, conducting risk and safety educational programs, complying with JC applicable standards, and assisting with insurance and risk financing, all with the objective of controlling and minimizing loss to protect the assets of the facility.
