Nemara, Buffalo Grove, IL is actively seeking several Injection Mold Maintenance Technician on all shifts! Pay rates up to $35hr

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairs on injection molding equipment, robots, setups, changeovers, adjustments, maintenance, repair and operations of various types of assembly, subassembly, printing, and / or packaging machines.

Ideal candidates have plastic injection mold, PLC and / or automation experience!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Perform all required necessary preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment
• Check and maintain quality of product being produced by identifying acceptable and non-acceptable product in accordance with Quality policies and procedures
• Answer machine alarms as they occur and identify and address the root cause.
• Follow all 5S guidelines
• Perform and document inspections per cGMP for work instruction sheet, on device history sheet records, and work instruction sheet tables
• Diagnose and troubleshoot any pneumatic or mechanical malfunction on a variety of machines
• Adjusts assembly machine units for major / minor lot production operations following department specification
• Repair and maintain electrical controls on equipment (molding, assembly and packaging machines), including servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines and devices primarily on the basis of electronic principles
• Upload programs to controls in the events of program loss or CPU replacement
• Repair robot arms and controls, including replacing bad boards, motors, encoders, etc.
• Calibrate and adjust robot pick and place locations if needed
• Conduct TPM activities as required
• Input Maintenance work orders into the Computerized Maintenance Management Software (SAP)
• Monitor processes, show an awareness of issues and demonstrate corrective actions to address those issues
• Perform weekly, monthly, and as required preventive maintenance (PM)
• Perform root cause analysis for safety, quality, and processing issues
• Must be able to fluently operate presses, robots, and auxiliary equipment to diagnose malfunctions, and to verify repairs.
• Troubleshoots and locates the source of the problem by observing the operation of the equipment.
• Brainstorms with other maintenance personnel, and outside technical support as needed.
• Restores damaged or malfunctioning equipment to operation by repairing, replacing and or adjusting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Controls down time by scheduling repairs with the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Maintains ongoing list of projects with timeline to be addressed and completed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS :

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Must have 3 or more years of experience in a technical, hands-on position
• Experience with injection molding required
• Experience in hydraulics and pneumatics required
• Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting (AB, Koyo, Omron, Mitsubishi, etc.)
