Summary :

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Planner / Scheduler II to join our team in Cypress, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and preparing production materials, travelers, and work orders.

Your expertise will ensure a smooth flow of materials and production orders to meet our production requirements.

Duties :

Review material availability in ERP / MRP system daily to plan actions for production releases.

Evaluate requirements for production master schedule (12 weeks out) and review current forecasts for corresponding items.

Plan, prepare, issue, and control production orders and material requirements.

Monitor shortages in existing backlogs and notify management of potential on-time delivery issues.

Confirm and release work orders, adjusting materials based on unexpected yield variances.

Prepare production paperwork and revise / reschedule shop orders as needed in LN system.

Collaborate with Production Supervisor to monitor status and scheduling for timely product delivery.

Coordinate with production teams regarding schedule changes and expedite requirements.

Direct or instruct expeditors for products moving to finished goods or requiring follow-up.

Review procured items and expedite requests to Purchasing for urgent materials.

Coordinate sub-contracted orders and prepare necessary paperwork.

Conduct physical counts of raw material and WIP inventory, resolving variances.

Assist in assessment and resolution of failed products in inspection processes.

Work with various departments (Material Handlers, Production, Buyers) to resolve material availability issues.

Coordinate with warehouse to expedite release of items to production floor.

Address planning-related issues from MRB findings and squawks.

Support Development Planning group in actions related to new Engineering Drawings or Design Changes.

Input data into systems and prepare reports for production planning and customer meetings.

Experience :

3+ years of experience in production planning.

Knowledge and skills developed through formal training or substantial work experience.

Ability to work independently within established procedures with moderate supervision.

Strong problem-solving skills, able to assess issues and make sound decisions.

Education :

College degree preferred (ideally in Supply Chain Management or related field) or comparable experience.

Other Skills :

Proficiency in Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office Suite required.

Knowledge of Drawing Applications and understanding of engineering drawings.

Solid understanding of Production Planning and Scheduling best practices and principles.
