Material Handler
Pay Rate : $18.50 per hour
Shift : Monday-Thursday-2pm-1030pm and Fridays 12pm-830pm
Location : Paulsboro, NJ 08066
Job Duties :
- Responsible for moving material to and from receiving, shipping, production by hand or pallet jack, cherry picker, or turret truck.
- Quality control, and the secondary stock locations,
- Communicate with internal departments to convey materials when / as needed.
- Perform pick up / delivery routes internally using a time-based system.
- Verifies packing lists, purchase orders, Bill of Ladings, or other documents to determine priorities, accuracy, and shipping methods required to meet shipping schedules and / or customer requirements.
- Reports shortages and / or damaged material to the appropriate personnel.
- Is the primary back-up to the receiver.
- Inspects material handling equipment for defects and notifies proper personnel for maintenance when needed.
- Periodically loads / unloads freight and / or packages from delivery / pickup vehicles.
- May transport materials using industrial powered trucks or company vehicles.
- Maintains an organized layout and safe work environment.
- Performs related duties as assigned by the Distribution Supervisor or Manager.
Requirements :
- Background check and Drug-screen
- Reliable transportation
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs
- Must have 2 years of experience with electric pallet jack, cherry picker, turret truck.
