Job Responsibilities :

  • Supervising and mentoring a team of Commercial Lease Administrators and a team of AR staff.
  • Have a proven track record of being a champion of change, creator of efficiency while using metrics to drive accountability.
  • Overseeing the performance, career development and deliverables. Provides staff with leadership and supervision that motivates them to perform effectively ensuring positive, effective, and respectful communication.
  • Review work product to ensure compliance to all related policies and procedures
  • Assuming responsibility to establish processes and procedures for department to ensure department operates with accountability and uniformity.
  • Serves as main point-of-contact and liaison between Commercial Lease Administrators, AR and other departments.
  • Responsible for communicating with all Departments on important issues and on-going performance.
  • Verifies all required daily, weekly, monthly, and annual benchmarks / metrics are achieved by the team.
  • Oversight and management of collections.
  • Provide continual on-the-job training and mentoring to enable employees to reach individual and department goals and performance metrics.
  • Documenting and sharing best practices and participating in efforts to document and strengthen internal controls and improve data quality.
  • Responsible for the final review / approval of annual reconciliations for CAM and RET prior to submission to Tenant.
  • Responsible to oversee any Tenant audits.
  • Review and approve lease abstract information for billing and reporting purposes for residential portfolio.

Requirements :

  • 10 years of work experience in Lease Administration, advanced knowledge of Real Estate Accounting practices or Property Management (of which at least 5 years is Lease Administration or closely related)
  • 5 years previous experience in a supervisory role, operating at a strategic level with both internal and external teams is strongly preferred
  • Bachelor s degree in accounting a MUST.
  • Superior attention to detail, enforcing deadlines and maintaining high levels of organization are essential for success in this role
  • Strong financial / analytical skills, leadership skills and the desire to learn and grow.
  • Ability to spot issues proactively and head them off and / or start the solutioning process
  • Ability to coach and mentor junior talent as well as effectively deal with poor performers
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive level team members
