Our Antenna Engineering team is responsible for designing antennas from HF through millimeter wave. As an Antenna Systems Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining both receive and transmit antenna systems to operate in conjunction with HTL’s transceiver systems.
Primarily, you will be responsible for working with customers and HTL’s internal team to develop CONOPs and system requirements for new antenna systems as well as design completion.
Your focus of design efforts will be detailed design of ultra-broadband antenna apertures and microwave distribution modules.
You will also be working with a diverse team of DSP / algorithm, RF, digital, mechanical, and software engineers to realize the designs.
Once the design is complete there will also be the need to transition the responsibility of production to the HTL Manufacturing team.
Requirements :
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and 10 years of experience with antenna or RF / microwave experience
- Or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and 5 years relevant experience
- Up to 10% domestic travel
Preferences :
- Experience designing ultra-wideband antenna arrays
- Experience with high power transmit antenna systems (>
100 Watts)
- Experience designing or integrating with wideband microwave distribution systems
- Experience collecting and analyzing antenna fair field manifold
- Experience with link budget analysis
- Experience with direction finding or radar warning systems
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary technical team environment
- Broadband radome design and fabrication experience (especially for microwave antennas) is a plus
- Passive antenna prototyping experience is a plus
