Job Title : Stationary Engineer

Job Description

Responsible to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems for the assigned property(s).

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) maintaining a clean and safe working environment, performing rounds, conducting routine assessments, performing day-to-day preventive and corrective maintenance, painting, and housekeeping for assigned properties.

Additional responsibilities : assist with the operation troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs on commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment for assigned properties / facilities.

Work Environment

This site will run 24 / 7 with licensed stationary engineers on site providing 24 / 7 coverage. Shifts are : 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm, 10pm - 6am.

The schedule includes 4 weeks of daylight with 2 weekend days (either 6am - 6pm or 6pm - 6am), followed by 2 weeks of the 2nd shift (2pm - 10pm) with no weekends, and then 2 weeks of the 3rd shift (10pm - 6am) with no weekends.

This is a brand new building and these openings are for the first phase, which is about 250K sq feet and funded by The University of Pittsburgh.

In this section of the building, they will be conducting research, so there will be live animals onsite. This is a state-of-the-art facility.
