This client is a premier manufacturer of automotive interior systems, which include seat, door trim, headliner, substrate, and carpet in addition to air and oil filters for a variety of customers such as Toyota Motor Corporation and General Motors.
Job Description This position requires previous experience in the Kaizen, continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processes.
Must have a clear understanding of the TPS philosophy and problem solving techniques. Can demonstrate understanding of Standard Work, kanban and 5S.
This person must be a team player and a goal oriented achiever capable of assisting in a fast paced, work environment. Experience and accuracy with precision measuring instruments is a must.
Qualified applicants will have good communications skills (both written and verbal) and effective interpersonal skills. This person must have a basic mathematical aptitude.
Computer experience, specifically : Office 2010 software (Excel, Word, etc.) would be a plus. Fabrication and hand tool experience highly desired.
This person must be able to work with a minimum of direct supervision. Successful candidates must be willing and able to work overtime, including weekends with minimum notice and flexible hours Qualifications Education : - High school diploma or GED required.
Language Skills : - Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Computer / Software : - Solid working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Work Environment / Conditions : Office : Open Office Environment, moderate noise level.
Plant : Standard automotive plant environment with moderate noise level. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, hearing protection, etc.
