Cigar Lake, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s highest-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at Cigar Lake is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power.

The Role
Cameco is looking for a motivated and ambitious individual to join our team. In this position, the successful candidate will be reporting to the Jet Boring System Supervisor.
This is a temporary one-year term position.
In this role, you will :
- Be responsible for the operation of the jet boring system (JBS)
- Organize and perform daily operator care rounds on the JBS and all other related equipment
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve the JBS
- Ensure safe and efficient uranium ore production
Required :
- Minimum grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- At least three years of industrial experience
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Strong ability to use and navigate automated mining technology and computer software
- Significant work experience in drilling and underground mining
- Work a rotation schedule and commute to site by aircraft
- Strong ability to safely operate forked equipment
Recommended :
- Background in the operation of complex drilling machinery
- Work experience with navigating and operating DCS systems
- Familiarity with IOS systems

Safety Sensitive Site
The Cigar Lake operation is located in northern Saskatchewan and operates on a two week on / two week off rotational schedule.
Employees commute to the site by aircraft from designated locations in Saskatchewan.
Preference will be given to Residents of Saskatchewan’s North (RSN).
