Position Overview
Power your future with Qualus in our Digital Solutions Department as a Solutions Project Manager. You will play a pivotal role in large scale system integration programs, take on the delivery of EMS and ADMS system and integration implementations from our leading ADMS / OMS OT software partners, particularly AspenTech / OSI.
You will also be providing consulting and project management services to our existing customers on projects involving product installation, integration development, interface support, modeling, application tuning, and system maintenance.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to :
- Work from home
- Help in solving immediate and critical problems for many of the largest utilities in North America
- Work side-by-side with customers, developing core business relationships and influencing key business decisions
- Solve complex implementation, design, and business process challenges
- Travel to customer sites across the country
This opportunity will require that you understand the procedures and expected system applications and integrations that are being delivered to Qualus customers.
You will be part of a core project team working on projects to meet project deliverables and timelines.
Responsibilities
Your primary responsibility is to ensure on-time project delivery, which requires a clear understanding of expectations of project assignments and a mature and disciplined project management skill set.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements - All potential candidates should meet the following requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field of study.
- Demonstrable experience project managing AspenTech / OSI software implementation projects including but not limited to the following applications :
- ADMS
- SCADA
- DERMS
- Open AAR
- Five (5) or more years in utility systems software Project Management
- Demonstratable experience interacting with clients to understand relationships and priorities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
- Ability to operate as part of a team in organizing, leading, planning, and executing large-scale projects from the envisioning stage through implementation.
- Ability to prioritize work assignments and shift work efforts based on client business goals.
- Knowledge of project integration lifecycle and methodology.
- Excellent problem-solving, written and oral communications and customer service skills.
- Ability to lead and facilitate workshops covering the full breadth of the project lifecycle.
- Ability to work with new technologies and tools as required by the needs of a project.
- Ability to work independently and self-direct your workday.
- Experience creating work estimates, staffing plans, and proposals for projects of various scale and complexity
- Willing and able to travel up to 25% to customer project sites.
- US citizen or permanent resident.
Desired Qualifications - The following qualities are highly desirable and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position.
- PMP certification
- Ten (10) or more years in utility systems software Project Management
- Demonstrable experience project managing software implementation projects that included GE, Oracle, ABB or Siemens software technologies
- Experience and ability to work on related OT projects such as AMI, MWFM, etc. that may not be ADMS / OMS
- Multiple years working as a customer facing consultant
