SRE Delivery Manager

Position : SRE Delivery Manager

Location : Dallas, Texas Hybrid

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Management : Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Site Reliability Engineers, ensuring they have the tools, resources, and skills needed to meet operational goals.
• Service Delivery : Oversee the successful delivery of SRE services, ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Incident & Problem Management : Manage and coordinate incident response efforts, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to services.

Lead post-mortem analysis and implement improvements.

• Process Automation & Optimization : Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, enhance system performance, and improve operational efficiency using best-in-class tools and methodologies.
• Collaboration & Communication : Serve as the bridge between engineering, development, and operations teams to ensure smooth, coordinated efforts across projects and day-to-day operations.
• Monitoring & Performance : Establish key metrics and monitoring strategies to proactively detect issues, and ensure system uptime and availability.
• Change Management : Oversee changes to infrastructure and services, ensuring compliance with change management processes and minimal risk to system operations.
• Capacity Planning : Conduct capacity planning to ensure systems can scale with growing demand, providing recommendations for infrastructure improvements.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Management : Work closely with external partners and stakeholders, ensuring high-quality service delivery and contract adherence.

Experience :

• Experience in IT operations, with an SRE, DevOps, or similar role.
• Experience in a leadership or managerial role within a technology environment.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong knowledge of CI / CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.

Technical Skills :

• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) and infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Deep understanding of Linux / Unix environments and networking.
• Solid grasp of software development and systems architecture.

Soft Skills :

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide technical teams and collaborate across departments.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and service management practices.
• Experience in performance optimization and cost management in cloud environments.
